About R L Jeffery Building Contractors
Mr Jeffery formed his company over 20 years ago after spending most of his youth working for his father who owned a small construction company. While working for his father he undertook apprenticeships in bricklaying and stone masonry. Mr Jeffery then went on to start his own business which has grown from strength to strength. He has an abundance of satisfied customers and has built a strong reputation for high standards and quality.
His greatest success to date would be winning the LABC (Local Authority Building Control) Award for building the Great Tithe Barn.
The Great Tithe Barn, situated at Haselbury Mill near Crewkerne, is believed to be the first medieval-style tithe barn to be built in the past 300 years and was a contract of over £1 million.
The building was chosen out of 65 exemplary entries from across the region to receive the chairman’s award for its “excellent quality, unusual design and for being a structure that is unlikely to be unmatched for decades to come”. RL Jeffery Building Contractors are members of FMB (Federation of Master Builders) and have been for approximately 10 years, and have been members of NHBC for several years now.
